CMCL 303 - Roads to Modernity - Winter 2013

A critical integrative examination of the transformation of Greco-Roman and Judeo-Christian traditions into modern Western Culture with attention to literature, arts, philosophy, religion and economic, political, scientific and social texts. Focus is on major ideas, principles and their implications in early modern periods (1350-1790) including comparison with non-Western traditions.
This course may not be repeated for credit.

  • Communication and Culture 301.

Antirequisite(s)

  • Credit for both Communication and Culture 303 and General Studies 300 will not be allowed.
