Please join us for our end of course celebration in SS 203 at 3 p.m., featuring a screening of Hoffman’s acclaimed Slaughterhouse (Canada, 2014). After the film, Hoffman will discuss Process Cinema as it informs his filmmaking practice and as a governing premise for the course, closing with a selection of new student work.

Philip Hoffman is a Canadian filmmaker who has been honoured with more than a dozen retrospectives and numerous awards, including the Governor General’s Award in Visual and Media Arts for career achievement in 2016. He is the CMF filmmaker-inresidence for Spring 2018, leading an intensive course on ‘Process Cinema,’ an improvisational and interactive mode of alternative filmmaking.
